Unboxing the Finder TW2
I have never owned a telescope before but since childhood I’ve loved looking up at the night sky and seeing all of the constellations. In the past I have been a little intimidated by telescopes since they seemed a bit complicated to me to put together properly but I jumped at the chance to try out the Finder TW2 and finally own my own telescope.
As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed with the packaging; it was very compact and light to carry. The telescope and the legs came in two separate boxes, both of which were a dark blue color that is so pretty. The boxes also have an architect style rendering of the boxes’ contents on the side, which looks modern, minimalistic, and sleek.
The telescope itself came in a really nice gray carry case which is made of great quality fabric; it felt thick and had an expensive quality texture too. There was also a cute beaver on the side of the bag, which was a nice touch!
Once I unzipped the bag, there were a few mesh pockets on top, which contained the assembly instructions and a really cool constellation wheel guide, which I loved! The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to assemble the telescope in less than 20 minutes.
My favorite features are definitely the lightness of the telescope and the ease of assembly; it was so easy to put together and it is really portable and so lightweight that I can conveniently move it around my apartment to get better views of the sky. My apartment is in a courtyard, so being able to move it around to different windows in order to get an unobstructed view of the sky is really important; the legs are also adjustable without needing to use much arm power and they slide down so smoothly that setting up the telescope in a new location is effortless.
I also love that Beaverlab included a constellation map in with the telescope and this is another feature that I love; I feel that it got me really excited to use the product as soon as I opened the box and it was helpful in locating constellations too. It’s also made of heavy paper and has dark blue lettering to match the box!
I love this telescope and think anyone can use it, from total novices like myself to experienced star gazers. It is so portable and easy to assemble, and seeing the sky so crisp and clear through the telescope was amazing. I am excited to continue using it for years to come!
