Indiegogo is dedicating our Twitter feed to moms this Sunday. Tweet or Instagram a picture of you and your mom with the hashtag #gogomom and look out for it on @indiegogo
Mother’s Day is an opportunity to sing the praises of the world’s often unsung heroes, to celebrate the women who have positively impacted our lives and done so without ever expecting anything in return. When you start trying to think about everything that goes into being a mom, it’s hard to believe that we only have one day a year dedicated to them — at Indiegogo, we’re more into the idea of Mother’s Year.
This Mother’s Day, we’d like to not only say THANK YOU to our own moms, but also to all those around the world who want nothing but the best for their children. Moms are all about empowering their children to succeed and make a difference, so we wanted to highlight some past and present Indiegogo campaigns that are all about empowering moms:
Lalabu – A Better Baby Carrier
Move over Baby Bjorn! This nursing top has a kangaroo pouch to safely carry your baby wherever you go! Supporting Lalabu also means you’ll be supporting exploited women in Atlanta and microfinance efforts for women in Africa.
Mother’s Day Orphans Over Orchids
This campaign encourages people to support an orphanage in India in honor of mothers in lieu of traditional Mother’s Day gifts like flowers. For as little as $25, you could feed a child for a month!
The Flanik Family Infant Adoption
The Flanik’s are on the road to adoption, but even after taking out a loan, they are still unable to cover all of the high costs of the adoption process. They’re running a campaign to make up the difference and realize their dream of raising a child.
BEING MOM with Sarah Ripard: TV Talk Show
Sarah Ripard is creating a talk show called, “Being Mom,” which focuses on the current issues and ideas of the parenting world.

Taking My Parents to Burning Man: a Black Rock-umentary!
Burning Man is a festival known for self-exploration, boundless creativity, pyromania, and dust storms — not parents. However, Spry Bry (Bryant Boesen) decided to open his mom and dad’s eyes to that desert world — and record the whole thing.
Give Mom the Vacation She Deserves
After watching her mother persevere through her brother’s fight against cancer, this concerned daughter decided to send her mom on a vacation.
