Every week, we give team members at Indiegogo an opportunity to talk about the campaigns that have caught their attention. Here’s what we were talking about this week:
Alice (@alicebely)
Sooner Strong: Tornado Disaster Relief Fund
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Give to the United Way and help Okies in need!
Ben (@gilbetrar)
PETE – The Smart Puppet for Children with Autism
Location: Stanford, California
It’s a great idea, and I’m happy when anyone uses robot puppets to solve a problem.
Bre (@gogobre)
Location: Plano, Texas
When Mimi couldn’t get a job when she was almost 60 because she needed computer skills, she took matters into her own hands and launched a computer school for Boomers and Seniors. Now with 500+ lesson plans, Mimi and her husband Bill are ready to take their school to the next level, and anyone can be a part of it (they don’t check IDs). 🙂
Bret (@gogobret)
Location: Breda, Netherlands
Crista (@cckende)
Location: New York, New York
The music community has already done an amazing job of helping cellist Dave Gotay, who was diagnosed with Stage IV Renal Cell Carcinoma earlier this month. The campaign goal has been surpassed, but the real cost of medical bills will be $200k+. Let’s keep the momentum going!
David (@MEMORYMANSIONS)
Location: London, United Kingdom
John V. (@gogoJV)
Tobuscus Adventures: THE GAME – by Toby Turner
Location: Los Angeles, California
YouTube superstar and funnyman Toby Turner is creating his first ever video game based upon his Tobuscus animated adventures. The game sounds amazing and I cannot wait to wait to play it when it is completed. The pitch video is hilarious and a must watch.
Liz (@gogoGlobalLiz)
Dutch Women’s Team to 2013 Women’s Lacrosse World Cup, Canada
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
I was inspired because they are using a mix of corporate, crowdfunding, and personal contributions to get there, and it’s both a talented and motivated group of young women. They are very close to their goal! They also pitched in both Dutch and English!
