Every week, we give team members at Indiegogo an opportunity to talk about the campaigns that have caught their attention. Here’s what we were talking about this week:
Bre (@gogobre)
HelenJean: Custom Dresses for Game Changing Women
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Rather than sizes, the tags on these dresses share how you want to feel while you’re wearing them. Strong? Beautiful? You got it!
Bret (@gogobret)
SoCali Dreaming – The surf and serve trip of a lifetime for foster kids!
Location: Imperial Beach, California
SoCali Dreaming! Helping foster kids without families visit the ocean for the first time for surf, music and fun in the sun – all while giving back to the community!
Crista (@cckende)
Bully – A new solo theatre show
Location: New York, New York
Daniela (@gogoDaniela)
Wireman Comics Literacy Project
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
The Wireman Comics campaign is raising funds for volume 3 of the popular and effective comic book literacy tool that hooks at-risk readers on a compelling story they can’t put down as opposed to strengthening their skills through drills and exercises. Check it out!
David (@MEMORYMANSIONS)
Location: San Francisco, California
Get out of your rut and follow your dreams!
Jerry (@jneed)
The Dream Big Academy: Rosie Wants to be a Fireman
Location: Hoboken, New Jersey
John T. (@trigonis)
Location: Nuneaton, United Kingdom
I dig this project because, aside from the fact that I’ll never misspell the word “kaleidoscope” again, the director is offering two awesome perks –– one in which a photo of you is superimposed into a scene from the film, and another in which you will be vaporized by a laser beam, which he nicely illustrates in the tail end of the pitch video.
Karen (@IndiegogoMusic)
As Blood Runs Black NEW FULL LENGTH ALBUM
Location: Los Angeles, California
Helping fund a much anticipated 3 studio album and offering the coolest listening party/BBQ ever as a perk.
Kate D. (@KateDrane)
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel
Here’s your chance to join a game changing community and be one of the first to get your hands on the revolutionary cardboard bike!
Pam
Location: Brooklyn, New York
A documentary that explores the rise in the diagnosis and medical treatment of mental disorders and begs the question, what is normal?
