We’re excited to be on the ground for the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival! The Toronto International Film Festival, more affectionately known as TIFF, is an eleven day whirlwind of noteworthy premiers, exciting red carpets, and best of all, fantastic films, ranging from the dramatic to the comedic to the delightfully artistic.

From September 4 – September 14, TIFF will showcase over 300 films from more than 60 countries. We can’t wait to see great films produced by critically acclaimed and up-and-coming directors from all around the globe, and are thrilled to have the most crowded-funded films shown at TIFF 2014, including Songs She Wrote About People She Knows The Editor, Preggoland, The Wanted 18, and Cub.

With any film festival, the events can be just as entertaining as the films themselves, and we’re excited to be speaking at and hosting a few events of our own.

Here’s where you can find the Indiegogo Film Team at TIFF 2014:

Crowdfunding Office Hours: Monday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 9 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm. We’re hosting office hours with our resident film crowdfunding expert John Trigonis. There are five daily slots available, starting every hour on the hour from 12pm – 5pm. Spaces are limited and will sell out, so sign up today!

IndiegoTO: Crowdfunding Your Next Film to TIFF 2015: Tuesday, September 9 from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Preparing your next Indiegogo film campaign? Get the inside scoop on how to set it up for success. We’re hosting an Indiegogo best practice session around a campaign’s perks, pitch, and promotion.  You’ll meet Ayah Norris, Canada Film + Creative Lead,  and John T. Trigonis, our film campaign specialist, who literally wrote the book on Crowdfunding for Filmmakers and has advised thousands of film and video campaigns.

What’s Up With All These Multimedia Corporations Investing In Content?!?! Wednesday, September 10 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. This TIFF panel, featuring Indiegogo’s Head of Film, Marc Hofstatter, will examine how the international business and creative climate has ripened for strategic partnerships between content, technology, entertainment, and investment – evidenced by the many large multimedia companies that are now either commissioning original content and/or investing in media and entertainment.

Indiegogo Happy Hour: Monday, September 8 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Come hang out and grab a drink with the Indiegogo Film Team: Marc Hofstatter, Kristen Konvitz, John Trigonis and our own resident Canadian, Ayah Norris. We’ll have TO’s finest up and coming creatives making magic happen with us.
