Send a BUQuad Reporter to SXSW
Monica Castillo wanted to expand her college paper's coverage to the SXSW conference in Austin, TX. So she applied and — surprise! — was accepted and received a press pass. But she needs some help getting to Austin and with accommodations. Read more of her story here.
Share in SOUND IT OUT's SXSW Adventure
Indie documentary film SOUND IT OUT had a successful fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo last year. The film, about the last independent record shop in director Jeanie Finlay's hometown, now has its chance to premier at SXSW, and the filmmakers want to travel, with the shop's owner Tom, to Austin for the festival. (It would be Tom's first trip to the United States!) But, as you probably guessed, they need some help getting there.
