Team Indiegogo’s Campaign Roundup (10/25/13)

By

Every week, we give team members at Indiegogo an opportunity to talk about the campaigns that have caught their attention. Here’s what we were talking about this week:

Bre (@gogoBre)

IWannaBeAHero I wanna be a Hero

Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Piotr is learning all about entrepreneurship at Draper U in Silicon Valley. He will take all that he learns back to his home country of Lebanon and run workshops locally. He wants to inspire entrepreneurship in the Middle East. I agree that he is a hero!

Bret (@gogoBret)

AllTogetherSkatepark All Together Skatepark: Open Seattle’s Only Indoor Skatepark!

Location: Seattle, Washington

Let’s build an indoor skate facility to help keep Seattle-ons, Seattle-ites, Seattons…out of the rain!

John T. (@Trigonis)

Zcon Z*Con – a Zombie Film Set In A Comic Con

Location: Annapolis, Maryland

I like the campaign because the campaign owner knows how to have fun on Twitter with well-worded Tweets and interesting hashtags like #areyoubit and #spreadtheinfection. Plus, it’s a pretty cool concept; I mean, how long would it take you to spot a real life zombie in a comic convention?

John V. (@gogoJV)

OperationSupplyDrop Help Send Xbox One’s and Playstation 4’s to Military Hospitals!

Location: Arlington, Virginia

My campaign this week is Operation Supply Drop- A campaign that is raising funds to send video game care packages to US troops that are currently deployed. A very noble initiative that you should check out and back today.

Liz (@gogoGlobalLiz)

SundayAssembly Godless Congregations for All: The Sunday Assembly Global Platform

Location: London, United Kingdom

This is a great campaign with a super creative team behind it. I love the motto of “good without god” for their Church and I applaud their big, hairy, audacious goal. Oh and it’s a UK campaign so you know I am a fan of that as the international person!

Renee (@gogo_renee)

TorontoWildlifeCenter Help buy a new x-ray machine for the injured animals at Toronto Wildlife Centre

Location: Toronto, Canada

This campaign is not only for an x-ray machine: it’s for the helping, healing, and sustaining of our wildlife. Their Tumblr also reveals some amazing footage of their work! Check it out!

Ruika (@RuikaLin)

AnejoShortFilm Anejo Short Film – Traditional animation from Columbia

Location: Bogotá, Columbia

Two young Film & Television students from Colombia sharing their hard work and passion for traditional animation – I absolutely love the step-by-step demonstration in the pitch video of how a film character comes into being from a real-life image. Fascinating creative process with a lot of hard work!

Tony (@IndiegogoAU)

ScarlettSapphire The Scarlett Sapphire

Location: Perth, Australia

Great film that has smashed it’s target & looking forward to seeing it come to life!
