We The Kings – Our 4th Album!

We The KingsLocation: Bradenton, Florida

For their fourth album, We The Kings decided that instead of working with a label, they would rather just work with their fans. Thus, they started an Indiegogo campaign with a goal of $35,000, which was surpassed in less than a day. This melodic emo-po band from Florida ended up raising $149,453, with one of their perks being a lifetime of “Tickets + Meet & Greet Cards” to all concerts headlined by the band. We can be sure that the fans that contributed to that perk will be groupies for life and today, their Indiegogo-funded album “Somewhere Somehow” can be found right behind Beyonce in the Top Albums of the iTunes Store!

Protest the Hero NEW ALBUM

StickNFindLocation: Toronto, Ontario

Protest The Hero fulfilled its contracts with record labels in February and then was free to turn to the crowd to fund their fourth full-length album. Within hours of launching, the band smashed through it’s $125,000 goal and ended up raising $341,146 at the close of their campaign — with the help of incredible, exclusive perks that appealed to fans and haters alike! Many of the campaign contributors have been commemorating receiving their perks by posting perk pictures with the hashtag #protesttheheroIGG.

Ben Ottewell Solo Record

SpuniLocation: Brighton, UK

Ben Ottewell, former member of British rock band “Gome,” is finishing his second solo album that will have a more traceable hint of rock and blues. He decided to crowfund this solo because “Indiegogo lends a kind of transparency into making the record that you wouldn’t normally have in the typical record industry releases and I feel long term Gomez followers will really enjoy engaging in this way.” And he wasn’t wrong! With more than 3 sold-out perks, his campaign has raised more than £25,000 from his fans, most of who will be able to download his new record before it is officially released.

Dude, Where’s Our Bus?! – Keep NONPOINT On The Road

Misfit ShineLocation: New York, NY

Like many other bands, Nonpoint loves to tour but it was struggling with the amounts of money that it requires. With their à la Ocean’s Eleven funny pitch video, they were able to charm their fans and surpass their goal back in April. With the $52,411 that they raised through Indiegogo, this month only they are touring over 6 states in the U.S. so if you are into alternative rap-metal, there is a chance that they might be touring near you.

New Full-Length Album from Misery Signals

Kuli KuliLocation: Milwaukee, United States

Misery Signals continued the trend of metal bands crushing their goals on Indiegogo. They raised funds for their 4th studio album and offerred perks that ranged from vinyls to guitar lessons. By the end of their campaign in May, this Milwaukee band raised $104,035. Misery does love company!
