Team Indiegogo’s Campaign Roundup (11/30/12)

Every week, we give team members at Indiegogo an opportunity to talk about the campaigns that have caught their attention. Here’s what we were talking about this week:

Location: Vancouver, Canada

I love what’s coming out of the Canadian creative communities.  This is another beautiful example from a Vancouver photographer.  Also, the world needs more hugs (see $5 perk)!

Alice/Customer Happiness

MakersKit – DIY in a Box

Location: San Francisco, California

I love DIY projects but hate spending a lot of money on DIY materials – this campaign makes it easy to do a DIY project!

Let’s Help Rebuild Ted’s

Location: Point Lookout, New York

Ted’s Fishing Station on Long Island NY was totalled by Hurricane Sandy. This campaign is a personal appeal to the community and loyal customers to help rebuild a local institution. I love the creative perks (one of which reminds me of Tom Sawyer) and how their supporters have voiced their connections to the place (check out the comments).

Geoffrey’s Belt

Location: London, United Kingdom

These filmmakers came up with unique and clever perks for their campaign. My favorite perk is the disposable camera of behind the scenes pictures from the film.

Using Adventure for Good in the Favelas of Brazil

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Spreading love and opportunity through rock climbing in the Favelas of Brazil.

Trash Amps CAN Speaker – Gen 2!

Location: Sunnyvale, California

Ingenious re-use of aluminum cans. A speaker for your iPhone!

SphereWars Miniature Game – Superior Combatants

Location: Badalona, Spain

An miniature war game with incredible figurines.

Renee/Customer Happiness

Pebble Smart Doggie Doorbell

Location: Eugene, Oregon

My dog scratches at the door ALL the time! This is a great way to get rid of his bad habits!

The most unique fly rod concept ever

Location: Nesoddtangen, Norway

Be the envy of all your fishing buddies with this innovative new fly rod.

Bring Autom to Life

Location: Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Who wants to help create the first commercial social robot? I do!
