Team Indiegogo’s Campaign Roundup (11/9/12)

By

Every week, we give team members at Indiegogo an opportunity to talk about the campaigns that have caught their attention. Here’s what we were talking about this week:

Alice/Customer Happiness

Music For Relief

Location: Los Angeles, California

I read about the SOCCET in an article and think it’s a revolutionary tool in developing countries. Plus it’s awesome that Linkin Park is supporting this campaign!!

The UCSF Global Turnaway Study

Location: San Francisco, California

This campaign is interesting because one of the principal researchers is a fellow former Peace Corps volunteer, it treats the abortion issue non-ideologically, and it is one of the first epidemiological research projects on our platform.

Crista/Catalysts

Niederhoffer Foundation – Sandy Relief

Location: New York, New York

Roy and Jenny Neiderhoffer are doing great work to help the many families who are struggling in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Help this power couple help others!

David/Customer Happiness

HPVANDME.ORG – Building Awareness About The New Cancer Battle for Boys and Men

Location: San Francisco, California

HPV does not just affect women – Help support a Bay Area journalist’s campaign to raise education and awareness regarding HPV prevention and treatment.

Fresh Picks: Making Fresh, Healthy Food Accessible to Offices

Location: Berkeley, California

I admire Minnie’s determination to go from idea to pilot test. I hope her business takes off. Plus, the food in the pictures looks delicious.

Jerry/Growth

NYC Food Truck Association – Sandy Outreach

Location: New York, New York

A great example of people who want to do something, just DOING it through the power of crowdfunding.  As a Hoboken resident, I saw the benefit of this firsthand.

John/Growth

StarForge

Location: Edmonton, Canada

Starforge:  Mincraft + Halo = This game is awesome.

Kate/Growth

Muse: The Brain-Sensing Headband

See your brain in action.

Help Angela make her documentary to bring focus to several tsunami survivors in Tohoku, Japan and how they have begun to make peace in the wake of the disaster.  Only a few days left…contribute so she can meet her goal and make this film!
