The second annual The Philips Innovation Fellows Competition will award mentoring and $100,000 in cash prizes to help bring meaningful ideas to life. Last year, Fosmo Med’s Maja Intravenous (IV) saline bag took the top prize and this year it could be you!
Did you know that nearly two-thirds of North Americans consider themselves innovators but don’t have the resources to get their ideas off the ground? With the belief that everyone has the potential to change the way we live our lives, we’ve partnered with Philips in asking innovators from all over the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) to share their #BIGIDEA in the areas of living well, being healthy and enjoying life. Did we mention $100,000 in prize money and an opportunity to receive mentorship from Philips is up for grabs?
Entries can be submitted until August 22nd and if your idea is selected Philips will send you details about moving onto to Phase 2 of the competition, which includes starting your Indiegogo campaign. If you already have a campaign live on Indiegogo, be sure to include a link to that campaign in your entry. Philips executives will then determine and announce the top five finalists, and the grand-prize winner will be selected by Philips to receive $60,000. Each of the four finalists will also receive $10,000 to put towards getting their idea off the ground.
So, what’s your #BIGIDEA?

Will there be another contest like this in the future. Health specific?
Hey does that mean us English Men are excluded in the uk?
Hello Ashley — just wanted to say that we were thrilled to see this article just a couple of days after launching our IGG campaign. We think our innovative pet health app meets the criterias listed, but unfortunately we are located outside the US & Canada. If you happen to know of any similar contests for european citizens, we’d be happy to read about it 🙂 The Petpulse Team. #bigidea I am walking across America to raise awareness on bullying. It is both healthy, and betters well-being. I’ve also submitted new technology to Philips but they kept saying my technology was not what they were looking for. The campaigns showing for them right now are all primitive except for their Talkitt campaign. the new innovative technology I submitted to them is here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/683877.
